Mixed Reviews for Toofan
Farhan Akhtar starrer Toofan got a direct OTT release and many fans waited for the midnight hour to watch the film. This morning their verdict is out and no two of them seem to have the same opinion.
From film industry personalities to the common man, the reviews are mixed. From high praise to negative comments, Toofan is getting brickbats and roses in equal measure.
Popular Bollywood director Ashutosh Gowariker gave the film full marks. "For me, all this while, the cinematic textbook of Boxing was Raging Bull Scorsese and De Niro. Now it is Toofan Rakeysh and Farhan!

Balaji Duraiswamy an NGO activist, was less supportive. "An Outdated film. Farhan’s efforts for this film appreciated. But the movie is filled with sports film clichés.
Toofan is missing the heart and emotions which any sports film need to have." Hardcore fans of director Rakeysh Om Mehra and Farhan Akhtar may have watched the film when it premiered at midnight. The verdict of the masses is expected today.
