Trump Says U.S. 'Very Close' to Trade Deal with India
NEW YORK/WASHINGTON, July 16: U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday stated that a trade agreement with India is nearing completion.
“We're very close to a deal with India, where they open it up,” Trump told reporters at the Oval Office during a bilateral meeting with Bahrain's Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
Highlighting ongoing trade efforts, Trump added, “We’ve made deals with a lot of great places… Another one may be coming up with India. I don’t know, we’re in negotiations. When I send out a letter, that’s a deal.”
