Rakshit Shetty names film journalist who demands money from him
Bengaluru: Actor-director Rakshit Shetty alleged that Kannada news channel Public TV has telecasted false and fabricated news against him.
He revealed that a film journalist who heading the film bureau of said TV had sought money from him to write positive reviews about his first film Thuglaq, ten years ago is the same person who was behind the program, telecast against him on Public TV. Rakshit Shetty said that Mahesh Devshetty, the head of Public tv's film bureau, had made the program that targetted him personally.
Rakshit spoke to the editor of Public News, HR Ranganath, who apparently told him that the program was telecast without his knowledge. Rakshit objected to this, saying as an editor, it was his responsibility.

Expressed his displeasure against Public TV head H.R. Ranganath for not preventing to telecasting of false news against him, it was the responsibility of an editor of a news channel to prevent telecasting false and fabricated news, the actor said.
About Devshetty, Rakshit said that the journalist had unnecessarily made personal attacks on him in the program, following his reluctance to pay money for him to write a positive review on Thuglaq. Rakshit Shetty said that he did not want to take revenge on Devshetty though he could insist that he should be removed from his job.
