Panaji: In continuation, his assurance of providing 300 units free power supply to Goans. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who is also supremo of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) assured unemployment allowances of Rs. 3000 and 80 percent reservation to locals in private sector jobs if AAP comes to power in the state. 

Addressing media persons here on Tuesday, Mr. Kejriwal has given seven assurances to the poll-bound state. 

In July 2021, Mr. Kejriwal assured 300 units of free domestic power supply to Goans and 24x7 uninterrupted power supply. He has also assured free water to the people. AAP is preparing to contest Assembly elections in the state, which will go for elections in 2022. 

Delhi Chief Minister has assured a similar promise to Uttarkhand and Punjab voters of providing unemployment allowances and job reservations to locals in the private sector.

Referring to corruption in the state, Mr. Kejriwal said, “Goa is a beautiful state, God has provided everything to this state, but politicians and parties have looted and exploited the people. We need to stop blatant corruption in the state; the party has a plan to develop the state”, he said. 

Mr. Kejriwal said that due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the state finance condition is in bad shape. Goa depended upon tourism revenue, unemployment allowances for affected people, as well as those whose jobs had been lost to restrictions on the mining industry - would be ₹ 5,000 per month, he added. 

He also took a swipe at Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant for his free water scheme and door delivery; Mr. Kejriwal said “Goa CM has copied Delhi model. We have started supplying free water to people three years back”, he said. 

"I heard (Pramod) Sawant has made water free in Goa... this is good news (but) we did it four years ago in Delhi. I also heard Sawant had started doorstep delivery... we did it three years back in Delhi.", Mr. Kejriwal said.
