2 or 3 MPs likely to be inducted into Cabinet: Murugesh Nirani
Bengaluru: Suspense over new faces into the Union Cabinet from Karnataka will end Wednesday evening, as per the latest reports.
Murugesh Nirani, the Minister of Mines and Geology, said that 2-3 Members of Parliament from Karnataka would get a portfolio in the Narendra Modi Cabinet.
"As far as caste arithmetic is concerned, each from Lingayat and Scheduled Caste is highly likely to get a ministerial berth, " Murugesh Nirani was quoted as saying by a private news channel. As per reports, Nirani claimed he was in Delhi on personal work.

Senior BJP leader Ramesh Jigajinagi, Chitradurga MP A Narayanaswamy, Gulbarga MP Umesh Jadhav have reached Delhi following a call from the BJP high-command. All three belong to the Scheduled Caste community.
Ramesh Jigajinagi was Union Minister of State for Drinking Water and Sanitation in 2016. He was a member of the Twelfth, Thirteenth, Fourteenth, Fifteenth and Sixteenth Lok Sabha. Currently, Jigajinagi represents the Bijapur constituency.
The buzz over the cabinet expansion exercise has been gathering momentum for the first time after the Modi government was voted back to power in 2019.
