Modi’s  25 years plan for BJP: Advises party leaders to focus on youths

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is not only focusing to win the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, he has advised party leaders to draw a plan for BJP for the next 25 years.

During a meeting with BJP leaders of Uttar Pradesh regarding selections of Cabinet, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reportedly advised party men to prepare a plan for 25 years keeping youths into mind.

“The youth are of special significance in the order to ensure leadership for the BJP and Country in the next 25 years”, Mr. Modi suggested to party leaders during the meeting.

After winning four states elections, the BJP is more cautious to select its ministers in these states keeping into consideration of youths. Prime Minister and BJP leaders have held several rounds of meetings to finalize the ministers in Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Uttarakhand and Manipur.

Even BJP has decided to buy more time to finalize the Chief Ministers of Goa, Uttarakhand, and Manipur.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who won record re-election, was a part of these consultations. He may take oath on March 21, NDTV reported.

During meeting with UP leaders, the party central leadership has asked for more data on all winning candidates in these four-state, it would help the party central leadership to finalize the ministers.

BJP central leadership will consider some factors during selections of ministers- caste and regional calculations, proper representation to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes and OBCs (Other Backward Class), and emphasis on youth, women and educational qualifications in the Yogi Cabinet.

Party leadership has given tasks to its MPs of these four states to pinpoint 100 polling booth areas in their parliamentary constituencies where the party did not perform well in the polls. MPs also find the reasons and find solutions.

In Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath may get 20 new ministers. Eleven ministers - including Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Maurya - lost the election and four switched parties. That makes 15 vacancies. A few ministers are likely to be sacked over poor performance, sources say.

The new ministers are being identified from the Jatav community, which has supported the BJP in just-concluded Assembly elections. Party has analyzed that Jatav has switched its allegiance from Mayawati's Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) to the BJP. Swatandra Dev Singh is the frontrunner to replace Keshav Maurya as Deputy Chief Minister.

Babyrani Maurya, who quit as Uttarakhand Governor to contest the election, may be given a big post.

Former bureaucrats like SK Sharma, Asim Arun and Rajeshwar Singh are likely to be made ministers.

Some of the new ministers may be from western Uttar Pradesh, where the BJP performed unexpectedly well, says the NDTV report.
