A Delhi Traffic Police head constable has been suspended after a video surfaced online showing him allegedly assaulting a taxi driver in the Paharganj area. The incident occurred around 3 pm on December 14, according to officials.

Viral Video Sparks Outrage
Footage recorded by a bystander shows the head constable pinning the cab driver to the ground and repeatedly slapping and punching him, while passersby looked on. The driver can be heard crying in distress during the assault.
The video quickly spread across social media platforms, prompting immediate departmental action.
Police Response
“Taking cognisance of the video, the traffic police head constable has been placed under suspension and an inquiry has been ordered to ascertain the circumstances leading to the incident,” a senior officer confirmed.
Authorities added that further action will be taken once the inquiry report is complete.
