Randeep's last film was Salman Khan starrer Radhe, in which he played a supporting role. Before this movie, he was seen in the Hollywood action movie, Extraction. This year, the actor will be seen opposite Ileana D’Cruz in "Unfair & Lovely," a comedy movie.

‘Risk’ hero Randeep Hooda to play Veer Savarkar

Bengaluru: ‘Risk’ actor Randeep Hooda is all set to play the role of legendary freedom fighter Veer Savarkar in the upcoming movie that will be directed by Mahesh Manjrekar of Vaastav fame.

Announcing the new project on his Instagram, Hooda shared his monochrome picture and wrote, "Kuch kahaniyaan batayi jaati hai aur kuch jee jaati hain! Grateful, excited and honoured to be part of # SwatantraVeerSavarkar's biopic. ."

He shared another picture on Twitter with director Mahesh Manjrekar to inform the public about the movie.

Speaking to a newspaper, the actor said, "There have been numerous heroes who have contributed to our independence. However, not everyone has received their fair share. Among these unsung heroes, Vinayak Damodar Savarkar is the most misunderstood, discussed, and important."
