UP Police recalls Nana Patekar’s role in cybercrime awareness film
LUCKNOW: (Oct 8) Uttar Pradesh Police on Thursday condoled the death of veteran actor Nana Patekar, recalling his contribution to a cybercrime awareness campaign and his last public appearance with uniformed police personnel at an event in Lucknow.
In a condolence message, Uttar Pradesh DGP Rajeev Krishna termed Patekar's death deeply saddening and said his "powerful and versatile acting" earned him a distinct identity in Indian cinema and left an indelible impression on audiences.
Known for his versatility and powerful screen presence, Patekar passed away at his Goa residence early Thursday. He was 76.
