Three LeT terrorists killed in Pulwama encounter

Pulwama: Five Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists have been killed by security forces in an anti-terror operation in Pulwama on Friday, reported ANI. 

Based on the input received last evening about 5 terrorists who were hiding in the Hanjin village, Army, Police and CRPF cordoned off the area.

"Parents of Amir, a terror associate were called to appeal to surrender but failed. All 5 LeT terrorists including a Pakistani terrorist Rehan were killed. Arms, ammunition & some documents recovered. They were planning an attack at Srinagar-Pulwama National Highway," news agency quoted IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar as saying.

Also, an Army jawan was martyred in the operation. 

Two AK, 1 SLR, 2 pistols recovered from the five terrorists who were eliminated in the firefight with the security forces.

The security forces had launched a cordon and search operation in Hanjan Village of Rajpora in south Kashmir's Pulwama following specific information about the presence of militants in the area, reported India Today.
