Taylor Swift made a glamorous red-carpet appearance at the sixth annual Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday, October 17, captivating attendees in a romantic ice-blue Dior gown paired with spectacular diamond jewellery.
The 36-year-old singer-songwriter attended the star-studded event for the first time, embracing an elegant, Cinderella-inspired look for the occasion.
Taylor Swift Turns Heads in a Custom Dior Gown
Swift wore a custom Dior creation designed by Jonathan Anderson. The light-blue pleated silk gown featured intricate detailing and an embroidered bow at the centre of the chest, adding a romantic touch to her sophisticated ensemble.
She completed the look with exquisite jewellery from Chopard's Haute Joaillerie Collection, including platinum earrings set with 32.40 carats of diamonds, an 18-karat gold ring featuring 5.78 carats of diamonds, and a platinum bracelet adorned with 5.04 carats of diamonds.
For her beauty look, the “I Knew It, I Knew You” singer opted for softly smoky eye makeup, her signature winged eyeliner, a delicate pink blush and matching lipstick. Her hair was styled in retro waves, complementing the timeless elegance of her outfit.
Taylor Swift Performs at the Academy Museum Gala
Beyond her red-carpet appearance, Swift took the stage to perform “I Knew It, I Knew You,” her contribution to the Toy Story 5 soundtrack.
The annual gala raises funds for the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures and celebrates achievements in filmmaking. This year's event honoured filmmaker and composer John Carpenter, Oscar-nominated actor Colman Domingo and Academy Award-winning actress Charlize Theron.
Announcing Swift's participation in a press release on October 8, Academy Museum director and president Amy Homma praised the singer's global influence and artistic achievements.
“Taylor is an extraordinary talent whose work resonates around the world,” Homma said, expressing excitement about welcoming Swift to the gala and having her performance close the evening's celebrations.
Taylor Swift Continues to Expand Her Music and Screen Projects
Swift's appearance at the gala comes amid a busy period in her music career, with the singer continuing to explore new creative projects across music, film and television.
On September 25, she released The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore, an expanded edition of her 2025 album featuring four additional tracks: “Cleveland!,” “Patient Zero,” “Pink Clouding” and “Babylon.”
She subsequently premiered the music video for “Patient Zero” during the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards. The visual featured actors Dakota Johnson and Colin Farrell, while Swift received the inaugural Artist Director Honors and added to her record-breaking VMA achievements.
The singer also made headlines earlier this year with her appearance at the Songwriters Hall of Fame's 55th Annual Induction and Awards Gala in New York City. For that event, she wore a striking Tamara Ralph Couture gown featuring a black mock-neck bodice with sheer side panels and a shimmering silver skirt.
Swift accessorised the ensemble with delicate drop earrings and several rings, including her diamond engagement ring by Kindred Lubeck and wedding band.
Taylor Swift's Growing Presence in Film and Entertainment
Swift's latest gala appearance further highlights her expanding influence beyond the music industry. In June, she released “I Knew It, I Knew You” for the Toy Story 5 soundtrack, with the song reportedly becoming her 15th No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100.
From her evolving musical catalogue to her involvement in film-related projects, Swift continues to command attention both on and off the stage. Her debut appearance at the 2026 Academy Museum Gala added another memorable red-carpet moment to her growing list of high-profile appearances, with her romantic Dior gown and remarkable diamond accessories taking centre stage.
