No pre-paid meter for IP sets: Sunil Kumar
Bengaluru: In the ongoing Monsoon Assembly Session, Energy Minister Sunil Kumar informed the Legislative Assembly that government has no intention to install pre-paid power meters to IP sets of farmers and rural consumers.
Responding to a question of Congress leader M.B. Patil, the minister has asserted that government will not install pre-paid meters for IP sets of farmers and rural consumers.
The government is contemplating installing pre-paid meters to government offices and those who availed temporary connections to construct residential and commercial buildings.
After discussing with experts and seniors, the government will decide to install pre-paid meters to government offices, he added.
