Kyiv Mayor shares video of city's destruction by Russian invasion

Kyiv: As Russia continues to pound Ukraine, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko shared a video on Twitter showing how the Russian attack had destroyed the Ukrainian capital.

Kyiv, one of many cities in Ukraine, suffered the most in the ongoing war. In a 52-second long video, the mayor shows the damaged buildings, assets, and infrastructure. He said, "This is how Russia’s war against civilians looks like: destroyed buildings, destroyed infrastructure, a city bus hit by a rocket, lives are getting lost. That is the war that Russia has started. This is the city of Kyiv. Many cities in Ukraine were destroyed. Lives are being taken. That is the truth. This image is the truth of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Putin’s war against Ukraine is what it looks like.”

He wrote on a microblogging site that, "Putin's dream of creating a Greater Russia is my country's nightmare. #SaveUkraine."

In an earlier video, the mayor asked the people to stand with Ukraine and asked Russia to stop this nonsense war.

Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's tweeted Ukraine and Russia's fourth round of peace talks has been postponed till Tuesday.

He said”A technical pause has been taken in the negotiations until tomorrow. For additional work in the working subgroups and clarification of individual definitions. Negotiations continue.”

This comes while the fourth round of discussions is taking place remotely with the Ukrainian negotiating team in Kyiv. On Monday, Zelenskyy referred to the meetings as "tough talks."
Despite ongoing talks, Russia continued their attack, Ukraine said two died and seven severely injured after Russian forces struck Ukraine's biggest largest aircraft manufacturing plant Antonov factory in Kyiv. The strike sparked a huge fire.

According to authorities, Russian artillery fire also struck a nine-story apartment building in the city's northern Obolonskyi area, killing two more people. Since the invasion, the UN has recorded at least 596 civilian deaths, however, it believes the true toll is much higher.
