Bengaluru: In another blow to Bollywood, the industry has lost Disco King Bappi Lahari (69) on Wednesday. He passed away in Mumbai. The singer was admitted to Criticare hospital in Mumbai, passed away before midnight. When the family take him to the hospital his blood pressure was low, says the doctor.

• Bappi Lahiri was born in Calcutta, West Bengal in 1952 into a family with a rich tradition in classical music

• The first Hindi film for which he composed music was Nanha Shikari (1973).
