Goa Assembly Election 2022: Amit Palekar named AAP's CM candidate
Amit Palekar is an advocate by profession and comes from the Bhandari community, Delhi CM and Aam Aadmi Party's national convenor Arvind Kejriwal said.
Panaji: Amit Palekar will be AAP's chief ministerial candidate for the Goa Assembly polls, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal declared on Wednesday.
While announcing the name of Amit Palekar, Kejriwal said, "Today marks a new beginning in Goa's politics ! Fresh faces, real Aam Aadmis of Goa will now end the cycle of "Paise se satta, satte se paisa" of these corrupt parties."
"Amit Palekar's heart beats for Goa. He's Educated, honest, takes everyone along. He is ready to lay down his life for Goans."

Amit Palekar in his address to the part workers, said, "From a student, who in spite of being a topper didn't get govt job due to rampant corruption in Goa to being declared as the CM face for AAP who exposed "Job Scam", I have come a long way ahead. Had my father been alive today, he'd have been very proud."
Legislative Assembly elections will be held in Goa on 14 February 2022 to elect 40 members of the Goa Legislative Assembly. The votes will be counted and the results will be declared on 10 March 2022.
