Final list of Bommai cabinet is likely to announce tomorrow

Bengaluru: BJP central leaders and Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai held a closed-door meeting to finalize the list for Cabinet expansion. The list of the new ministers will be out tonight or Wednesday afternoon. 

Both the Chief Minister and party central leaders have worked the permutation and combination keeping into consideration of regions and castes. The leaders have not been able to finalize the list till Tuesday evening. The Chief Minister will return to Bengaluru today evening. 

Sources in state bjp said that party central leaders and chief ministers, work out the formula considering all factors. Thus the announcement of the final list getting delayed. Even state bjp has no information about the oath-taking ceremony of the new ministers.

Chief Minister and party high command have warry with creating deputy chief ministers post in the cabinet. Party high command has not in favour to create deputy chief ministers post. However, Mr. Bommai said not creating a DCM post may create turmoil in the government; those who aspired for DCM post and their supporters will make trouble, he reportedly told party central leaders. 

Regarding central leaders suggestion of dropping senior legislators from the Cabinet also not goes well to the Chief Minister. He convinced the party central leaders that Cabinet should be the combination of both seniors and youngsters. 

However, party has instructed the Chief Minister to induct the new faces only those who came from an organizational background and their contribution to the party organization. 

Meanwhile, party central leaders are agreed to induct Bombay friends in the Bommai Cabinet. Because of Bombay friends' effort, the BJP government came to power in 2019, not inducting them into the Cabinet would send the wrong message, party leaders opinioned. 

Mr. Bommai has met BJP National President J.P. Nadda, BJP Karnataka in charge of Arun Singh and Vice President of India, Venkaiah Naidu at Delhi.
