Dhanush in and as Maaran
Chennai: On his 38th birthday, Dhanush's 38th film Maaran's first look has been released by the makers. The film to be directed by Karthick Naren is bankrolled by Sathya Jyothi. GV Prakash Kumar is composing the music.
Fans immediately went into a tizzy and we're busy trending the title and the birthday of Dhanush. The actor who recently became the first south Indian actor with 10 million followers on Twitter was yet to post anything about the film until the time of filing this report.
Fans, needless to say were keeping a close watch on what he had to announce on his birthday and the new film.
After having done diverse roles recently, it looks like he returns to a mass entertainer with Maaran. The poster shows him smashing somebody's head on a table and the shattering glass. Chess board pieces can be seen flying and the opponent's gun disabled in his hand.
Maaran, that's what Dhanush's role in the film is likely called, holds a pen in his hand. This has led fans to rephrase a popular proverb as "Pen is mightier than the gun."
