Bhagwant Mann to launch anti-corruption helpline on Shaheed Diwas

Chandigarh: A day after swearing-in as Punjab chief minister, Bhagwant Mann announced that an anti-corruption helpline will be launched on 23rd March, Shaheed Diwas.

People of the state will be able to lodge complaints on corruption via WhatsApp.

CM Bhagwant Mann said "On March 23, Shaheed Diwas I'll launch a helpline that'll be my personal WhatsApp number. In Punjab, if someone demands a bribe from you, don't refuse, make a video/audio recording and send it to that number. My office will investigate and no culprit will be spared".

Bhagwant Mann took oath as Chief Minister of Punjab at Khatkar Kalam, the ancestral village of legendary freedom fighter Bhagat Singh in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar district on Thursday. He promises to fulfil all assurances given during the elections campaign.

Over 4 lakh people have attended the oath-taking ceremony.  The Aam Aadmi Party has registered a landslide victory by winning 92 seats in the 117 member Punjab Assembly. Mann is the first non-Congress and Non-Akali Chief Minister of Punjab.
