LOS ANGELES: (Oct 12) Tom Cruise and Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu's environmental satire "Digger" is turning out to be one of the biggest flops in Hollywood as it is on track to lose USD 245 million in its theatrical run.

The movie opened last weekend to a dismal USD 8 million domestically and USD 20 million globally, with trade predicting that Warner Bros will lose between USD 150 million to USD 200 million.

But the studio is now bracing for a bigger loss with a 60 per cent decline in ticket prices in the film's second week. “Digger” is expected to end its box office run with roughly USD 50 million globally, though a Warner Bros. spokesperson had pushed back, saying the film’s break-even point is USD 300 million, reported Variety.
