Stuntman killed during Kannada film shoot

Ramanagara: A stuntman was killed in a tragic accident during the shooting of the Kannada film 'Love You Rachchu.' The deceased is identified as Vivek, who was part of the shooting being held at Ramanagar. 

According to initial information, a stunt sequence in which Vivek was tied to a metal rope came in contact with a high-tension wire.

Ajai Rao and Rachita Ram play the lead role in the film directed by debutant Shankar Raj. The film is produced by Guru Deshpande. It is reported that after the accident, Vivek was shifted to a hospital, but he died on the way. The shooting was wrapped up before the police arrived at the spot. 

The police are now on the lookout for the film team and those responsible for the mishap. A driver who was part of the film team has been taken in for questioning.

Director, Producer, Stuntmaster taken into custody

The police in Ramanagara have now taken into custody the director of Love You Rachchu Shankar Raj, producer Guru Deshpande and stunt master Vinod for questioning. This followed the death of stuntman Vivek during the shooting of the film at an outdoor location in Ramanagar. It is said that the film team did not have the necessary permission for the shoot at the location and precautionary measures were also not in place.

A stunt sequence involving actor Ajay Rao and stuntman was being shot. Mr. Rao said that he was not at the site when the incident was occurred. The director, producer and stunt master are currently being questioned.

One more stuntman has also sustained injuries and is being treated, sources have said. Vivek died while being shifted to hospital after he sustained injuries and electric shock from a high-tension wire that came in contact with the equipment being used for the shoot including a crane.
