Stone-pelting during bike rally in Rajasthan's Karauli, Section 144 imposed
Jaipur: Around 20 people were injured in Karauli in a stone-pelting incident during a 'Hindu Nav-Varsha' bike rally on the occasion of Hindu New Year on Saturday
Following the violence, Section 144 was imposed in Karauli from 6:30 pm Saturday, April 2, to 12 am on April 4. Also, around 600 personnel were deployed to the incident.
Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot, on the Karauli incident, appealed to the public to maintain peace& stay away from miscreants who are present in every religion
Gehlot said, "I have spoken to DG police. Police&administration are present there. I appeal to the public to maintain peace& stay away from miscreants who are present in every religion. I've also directed police to identify such anti-social elements".
