Samajwadi Party divided society, withheld public money: UP CM
GORAKHPUR (UP): (Oct 12) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday accused the Samajwadi Party of dividing society and withholding money meant for the public.
Adityanath made the remarks at a programme organised in Gorakhpur district for the transfer of Rs 493 crore agricultural input subsidy through DBT to more than nine lakh farmers affected by crop damage amid extreme weather events.
Speaking at the programme, Adityanath said that after Cyclone Hudhud caused extensive crop damage in 2014, the Centre had released Rs 3,200 crore. However, farmers received only Rs 800 crore.
