Puneeth  demise: Undeclared holiday in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: Bengaluru police have made elaborate arrangements for public homage and last rites of Sandalwood star Puneeth Rajkumar (46). 

DGP has sent an emergency message to all police officers to make necessary security arrangements and asked concerned police officers to depute more police force at Kanteerava Indore Stadium where the mortal remains of Puneeth Rajkumar will be kept for public homage. 

Soon after Vikram hospital announces his death, the Police commissioner has directed concerned police officers to depute more police forces at Vikram Hospital, Puneeth residence in Sadashivanagara and now a large number of police forces has been deputed in Kanteerava Indore stadium. 

Top police officers have been assigned the task to coordinate with family members of Puneeth Rajkumar about his last rites and place. After consulting with them, police forces will be deputed to the venue of his last rites, said a Police officer. 

Soon Puneeth's death news announced, people have voluntarily shutters down their business establishments. Schools have sent their ward to home, recently schools have started offline classes. Business establishments have closed in Central Business Area in Bengaluru. Theaters, Malls, Hotels, shops have closed after noon in the city. On Saturday, Puneeth's last rites will be held, there will be an undeclared holiday in the city.
