Prabhas vs Akshay Kumar confirmed

The Independence Day 2022 box office clash between Akshay Kumar and Prabhas has been confirmed. The makers of Adipuruah starring Prabhas have confirmed the film's release date of August 11.
Akshay Kumar's Raksha Bandhan is releasing on the same day. There is a five-day holiday week that includes Raksha Bandhan and Independence Day.
Adipurush is a mythological film based on the Ramayana. It is said to be one of the costliest films to be made in India. Prabhas essays the role of Lord Rama while Kriti Sanon plays Sita, and Saif Ali Khan plays Lankesh. The film is being made in 3D and shot in Telugu and Hindi. It will also be releasing in Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam.

The other big films of Prabhas, Radhe Shyam and Salaar directed by KGF director Prashant Neel have also announced their release dates. While Radhe Shyam has January 14, 2021 as its release date Salaar was announced for April 14. However, KGF2 of the same director and producer is also releasing on April 14. How this will affect the release of Adipurush has to be seen. Salaar may be released after Adipurush, according to some sources.
