New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has paid tributes to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar on his Jayanti.
 
In a tweet, the Prime Minister said; "Tributes to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar on his Jayanti. He has made indelible contributions to India’s progress. This is a day to reiterate our commitment to fulfilling his dreams for our nation."

President Ram Nath Kovind, PM Modi, Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Senior Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, and others offered tribute to Dr BR Ambedkar.

Meanwhile, BJP leaders Meenakshi Lekhi, Piyush Goyal, Anurag Thakur, Congress' Mallikarjun Kharge, and other parliamentarians pay floral tribute to Dr BR Ambedkar in the Central Hall of Parliament.

April 14 is observed as Ambedkar Jayanti to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr B R Ambedkar, who was born on the day of 1891. He was conferred with the Bharat Ratna in 1990 and the government announced April 14 as an official public holiday throughout India in 2015.
