Mumbai court junks plea to summon 4 cops as additional accused in gangster encounter case

A Mumbai court has dismissed a police plea seeking to name four Haryana police officers as additional accused in the 2016 alleged fake encounter case of gangster Sandeep Gadoli, stating that there is no prima facie evidence against them.
According to the prosecution, the four officers were part of a Haryana police team that allegedly tracked and killed Gadoli in a shootout in Andheri, Mumbai, over nine years ago.
The prosecution argued that their alleged role as "conspirators" emerged during witness testimonies. However, the court found the evidence insufficient to proceed against them at this stage.
