Do not fall prey to Saheb, Prashant Kishor advises opposition

New Delhi: Poll strategist Prashant Kishor (PK) said that ‘battle for India will be fought and decided in 2024’ and advised the opposition parties not to fall prey to the narratives of BJP.

BJP’s historic win in Uttar Pradesh and return to power in 4 of five states perceived as the party would come to power in 2024 Lok Sabha elections, however, Mr. Kishor tweeted that "Battle for India will be fought and decided in 2024 and not in any state elections Saheb  (Modi) knows this! Hence this clever attempt to create a frenzy around the state results to establish a decisive psychological advantage over the opposition. Don't fall or be part of this false narrative,"

Soon after BJP's spectacular victory in four states, Prime Minister Modi addressed party workers, stated that "2022 results giving a glimpse of the 2024 outcome". Mr. Prashant Kisor asserted that the battle for India will be fought and decided in 2024 only and not in state elections.

"Many people had said that the fate of the 2019 general election was decided when the 2017 Uttar Pradesh election result was declared. All I can say is that the same thought applies now too... the 2024 general election result can be seen in the result of the 2022 UP election," the PM said at a victory gathering at the BJP headquarters in Delhi.

On many occasions, PK has stated that BJP has strong election machinery and opposition parties have undermined its strength in every election. He has also advised the opposition to first understand the positives and strengths of the BJP.

Prashant Kishor held parlays with regional political parties leader and he tried to bring together of non-Congress form in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. PK has emerged as more of an opposition player, working with leaders like Mamata Banerjee and MK Stalin.

BJP’s resounding victory has given a boost to party workers for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has kick-started a mega roadshow in Ahemadabad today, Gujarat will go for poll later this year. BJP has returned to power in Uttarakhand, Manipura and Goa and Uttara Pradesh.

Uttar Pradesh Assembly poll is considered as semi-final for 2024 Lok Sabha elections, which 80 Lok Sabha seats if any party wins the highest number of seats, it will come to power at Centre.
