BJP member, wife shot dead in Anantnag
Anantnag: Gulam Rasool Dar, Kulgam BJP Kisan Morcha president, and his wife were killed in an attack by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag on Monday.
According to news agency ANI, terrorists fired bullets at a couple at Lal Chowk in Anantnag. Both husband and wife were shifted to hospital. BJP Jammu and Kashmir spokesperson Altaf Thakur condemned the attack on the couple.
Dar had unsuccessfully contested the last year's District Development Council elections. He was currently living in a rented accommodation in Anantnag.
Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha condemned the attack on Gulam Rasool Dar and his wife.
Manoj Sinha in tweet, said, "I strongly condemn brutal terrorist attack on the Sarpanch GH Rasool Dar and his wife Jawhara Banoo of Redwani Bala,Kulgam.This is an act of cowardice and perpetrators of violence will be brought to justice very soon. My deepest condolences to bereaved family in this time of grief".
