Woman trainee pilot killed in aircraft crash in Telangana
Local police confirmed recovering the body of the female pilot who died in the crash. The victim has been identified as Mahima, a native of Tamil Nadu, the Hindu reported.
Nalgonda (Telangana) A trainee pilot of a private aviation training institute was killed when her aircraft crashed near Thungathurthy village of Peddavooramandal in Nalgonda district here on Saturday morning.
Villagers have said that the aircraft crashed down in the fields from Chelakurthi and Thungathurthy village premises.
Local police confirmed recovering the body of the female pilot who died in the crash. The victim has been identified as Mahima, a native of Tamil Nadu, the Hindu reported.
The chopper belongs to Hyderabad-based Flytech Aviation Academy. It also has an operations institute at Nagarjunasagar in the Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh, bordering Nalgonda, from where the carrier took off.
Fire blown up from the site, villagers have informed the local police. The local administration has ordered an enquiry and more details to be awaited.
