In both Sulli Deal and Bulli Bai applications, photos of women were allegedly uploaded without their consent and inappropriate remarks were passed against them.

Indore: In a new development in the Sulli Deal app case, a 'mastermind' has been arrested by Delhi Police from Indore on Sunday.   

The accused has been identified as Aumkareshwar Thakur, Sulli Deals app creator and mastermind.  According to DCP KPS Malhotra, IFSO, Delhi Police Special Cell Aumkareshwar Thakur was a member of Trad-Group on Twitter made to troll Muslim women.

"Om Thakur has been arrested from Indore. He is the main mastermind behind the Sulli deal app case," said KPS Malhotra, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operations Unit, Delhi Police Special Cell.

 Two officers took Aumkareshwar along with his laptop and phone. Later,  he called me to inform me that he is being taken to Delhi. He is a web designer by profession and is being falsely accused. I will meet the officials in Delhi, told Aumkareshwar's father Akhilesh Thakur to news agency ANI. 

In both Sulli Deal and Bulli Bai applications, photos of women were allegedly uploaded without their consent and inappropriate remarks were passed against them. Both the apps used the hosting platform ‘GITHUB’ to auction the stolen photos. 

Last week, Delhi Police arrested Neeraj Bishnoi from Assam in connection with the Bulli Bai app case.  Neeraj Bishnoi is a resident of the Digambar area of Assam's Jorhat district. He is a BTech student of Vellore Institute of Technology, Bhopal.

Simultaneously, the Mumbai Police had arrested three people in connection with the app that shared photos of more than 100 Muslim women saying they were on sale'.  Several Muslim women found themselves on 'auction' on the 'Bulli Bai' app on January 1.
