Raj Kundra gets bail in pornography case, look out circular issued for another accused
Mumbai: Raj Kundra, businessman and Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty's husband, has been granted bail in a pornography case by a Mumbai court on Monday two months after his arrest. He has been ordered to pay Rs 50,000 surety for his release.
A day after, Mumbai Police Crime Branch has issued a Look Out Circular against the absconding accused (in a pornography case) Yash Thakur alias Arvind Srivastava and Pradeep Bakshi, an aide of businessman Raj Kundra, says the police, according to news agency ANI.
The Police said in its statement that during the investigation, the police found 119 porn videos from businessman Raj Kundra's mobile, laptop, and a hard drive disk. He was planning to sell these videos for Rs 9 crores.
Kundra was granted bail after the Mumbai Crime Branch submitted a 1500-page supplementary chargesheet in connection with the pornography case before Esplanade Court last Thursday.
Actors Shilpa Shetty, Sherlyn Chopra were among 43 witnesses whose statements were recorded in the 1,500-page supplementary chargesheet which was submitted in the court against Raj Kundra.
Kundra had on Saturday requested bail arguing that the investigation is over and a charge sheet has been filed.
