Modi suggests students to tackle stress at Pariksha Pe Charcha

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today addressed the fifth edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha, interacting with students, parents and teachers from across the country and answering their questions on stress related to exams.

Modi has suggested that enjoy the exams like festivals. He stated that “we cannot enjoy festivals during exams but if we make exams a festival, we can enjoy them”.

Prime Minister has given tips to overcome stress during exams. “If you find missed covering some portion, but keep faith in yourself what you have covered. This will help you overcome stress”, he advised to the students.

Students sometimes face difficulties while making important decisions. Students should develop a habit of revising whatever they have learnt in class with their friends. This will help them absorb knowledge together, Prime Minister's tips to the students.

"Students should introspect themselves while studying online, whether they actually study or spend time watching reels on social media. Whatever happens offline, same takes place online. This means the medium is not the problem. Irrespective of the medium, if our mind is delved into the subject, then it won't make a difference is grasping things", Prime Minister has shared his thoughts with students.

"God has deprived a disabled person of so many abilities but the disabled have transformed those weaknesses into strengths. Students should introspect and look into as to what are the weaknesses that are hindering them from progressing", PM said.

“Don't let panic thrive and don't overthink. That will only make you panic more. We can seek knowledge online and switch to offline to let it sink in and reflect on it” Mr. Modi suggested. Find time to dive within you, during this time, you will be neither online nor offline but inner line.

"I want students to stay away from a panic environment during exams. No need to copy friends, just keep doing whatever you do with full confidence", he suggested.

Parents sometimes fail to closely observe the strength and interests of their children. We should understand that every child is blessed with something extraordinary that parents and teachers fail to discover a lot of times, Mr. Modi remarked.

Students should not feel they are under pressure from teachers and parents to score good marks. Parents should not inject their dreams into children. They should be allowed to decide their future freely:

Skills are quite important across the world. Technology is not a bane, it should be used effectively. Today students are developing 3D printers andrunning apps for Vedic mathematics. They're efficiently using technology, Mr. Modi said during Pariksha pe Charcha interaction.

"We often connect ‘Dhyaan' and concentration with Rishi-Muni. We all need that in our everyday life. It teaches us to be present in the moment and concentrate on the task at hand",  Prime Minister said.

NEP should be called 'National Education Policy. So many people were involved in drafting the policy. We were brainstorming on it for last 6-7 years. We took advice of teachers and students from far-flung areas along with modern intellectuals, Prime Minister added.

Online education is based on the principle of attaining knowledge while offline education is regarding sustaining that knowledge and practically applying it further, Mr. Modi said.
