Maharashtra minister Malik intensify his attack against NCB officer Wankhede
Mumbai: Intensifying his attack against the Narcotic Control Bureau (NCB) officer Sameer Wankhede, Maharashtra Minority Affairs Minister Nawab Malik alleged that NCB officer did not follow proper rules in 26 different cases relating to seizer of drugs.
Malik allegation came after, a key witness in the Aryan Khan drug case levelled charges that NCB has demanded a 25 crore bribe to discharge Aryan Khan’s from the drug case.
Mr. Malik released the letter of a former employee of NCB, who has been working with the agency for two years regarding the biased investigation of NCB in drug-related cases. “ I have received the letter from NCB official who did not wish to be named. Thus I am sending this letter to Director General Narcotics, requesting to probe the matter”, Mr. Malik told reporters here Tuesday.
"My war is not against the investigating agency, but my fight is against injustice. I am only exposing one official who got the job by fraud and fabricated the documents. Mr Wankhede used a fake birth certificate to get the NCB job. He has been illegally tapping phones of some people in Thane and Mumbai," Mr. Malik alleged.
The former employee of NCB stated that nearly 26 cases which is probing by Sameer Wankhede did not follow the proper rules and procedures of NCB, said the minister.
Mr. Wankhede countered that allegations made against him were "false and malicious." "It's his right... he can put forth his opinion’, he said.
