Karnataka: Elderly Couple In Belagavi Die by Suicide After Falling Victim To 'Digital Arrest' Scam

Django Nazareth and his wife Phleviana Nazareth (79) led a peaceful life in Nandgad village in Belagvi having two acres of land

"Messages retrieved from Nazareth’s phone indicate that the cybercriminals posed as officials from the crime branch. They allegedly threatened the couple and coerced them into paying more money," said Belagavi Superintendent of Police (SP) Bheemashankar Guled.
