PM Modi Meets Indian Diaspora in Argentina, Emphasizes Strong Cultural Bonds
BUENOS AIRES (Jul 6): Prime Minister Narendra Modi was warmly welcomed by members of the Indian diaspora upon his arrival in Argentina on Saturday. Expressing gratitude for the heartfelt reception, Modi said he was deeply moved by the connection that transcends geographical boundaries.
Taking to social media platform X, he wrote: “Distance is no barrier when it comes to cultural connect! Honoured by the gracious welcome from the Indian community in Buenos Aires. It is truly moving to see how, thousands of kilometres away from home, the spirit of India shines brightly through our Indian community.”
During his visit, the Prime Minister is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with Argentine President Javier Milei. The discussions will focus on strengthening cooperation in key sectors such as defence, agriculture, mining, oil and gas, renewable energy, trade, investment, and people-to-people ties, the Ministry of External Affairs stated earlier.
The visit is expected to further deepen the strategic partnership between India and Argentina, building on existing multifaceted collaborations.
