Congress demands to book murder case against Eshwarappa
Pressure is mounting on Eshwarappa to resign from the cabinet. Opposition leader Siddaramaiah alleged that murder charges should be booked against Eshwarappa.
Bengaluru: Pressure has been intensified on the Basavaraj Bommai government to arrest RDPR minister K.S.Eshwarappa for his alleged involvement in the suicide of BJP worker Santosh Patil, who committed suicide in a lodge at Udupi.
Opposition leader Siddaramaiah, Karnataka Congress in-charge Randeep Singh Surjewala, KPCC President D.K. Shivakumar and others have demanded the immediate arrest of Eshwarappa and sacking him from the cabinet for abetment to the suicide of Santosh in connection to the 40% commission case.
It was alleged that Mr. Santosh has complained to BJP central leadership including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Home Minister Amit Shah, alleging that Mr. Eshwarappa demanded 40% commission to release the funds for government works.

The deceased Santosh has written in a suicide note that, Eshwarappa was responsible for his death, the death note is enough to slap the murder case against Mr. Eshwarappa, the Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai should sack him from the cabinet, Siddaramaiah demanded.
There is rampant corruption in the state government, Minister Eshwarappa harassed his own party worker for money, now he has committed suicide leaving a death note. Police must register murder charges against Mr. Eshwarappa, Surjewala demanded.
Meanwhile, wife of the deceased Santosh blamed Eshwarappa and urged the action against him. “It was because of Eshwarappa, that my husband took the extreme steps. Eshwarappa demanded the money from him, but he could not able to give him, due to pressure he has committed suicide. BJP government has involved in large scale of corruption”, she alleged.
