Big buzz on Ranbir Kapoor playing Sourav Ganguly's role in biopic

A buzz has been set off about who will play the role of Sourav Ganguly after the former Indian cricket captain revealed that he had given the go-ahead for a biopic on him. 

Ganguly, 49, is credited with transforming a conservative Indian cricket team into an aggressive fighting force during his tenure. Dada 

as fans and teammates affectionately call him, will be the latest cricketer, after MS Dhoni, Sachin and Azharuddin, to have a biopic made on him. 

As soon as Ganguly revealed that the film was on the cards, there is intense speculation about who will play the role. In the frontline is the name of Ranbir Kapoor. 

Though there is no official confirmation, fans of both Ranbir and Sourav Ganguly are spreading the word. Incidentally, Ranbir had played the role of Sanjay Dutt in the biopic on the latter. 

After retirement from playing cricket, Ganguly has become an administrator in the sport and is currently the president of the Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI), the most powerful cricket body in the world.
