Russia will invade your countries  too: Zelenskyy cautions NATO

Fervently appealing to NATO to shut the sky as a no-fly zone or retaliate against Russia, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy urged NATO to help Ukraine in the war.

In his virtual address on Monday, Zelenskyy has said that if NATO fails to act on the appeal of Ukraine, then Russia will bombard the NATO territories. Russia will drop missiles and attack NATO nations, he said.

The Ukraine president said on Monday that some 35 people died in the attack by Russia. Around 130 people are said to have sustained injuries in the attack, mainly the air raids on military training grounds of Ukraine near Poland which is a member of NATO.

Zolenskyy said that he has already cautioned NATO that without preventive sanctions, Russia would begin a war and Vladimir Putin, the Russian president, would order to use Nord Stream 2 as a weapon in the war.

Before this, Russia claimed that it had killed around 180 “foreign mercenaries” in a missile strike on Yavoriv military training ground in western Ukraine, according to a media report. Kyiv, however, denied the report terming it “pure Russian propaganda”.

Meanwhile, Zelenskyy said that in a discussion with European Council President Charles Michel, special attention was given to the further negotiation process on Ukraine’s EU membership.

He said that during the meeting with the President of the Council the matter was raised regarding increasing financial support for and sanctions pressure on the aggressor. Special attention was paid to the further negotiation process on Ukraine’s EU membership,  Zelenskyy said in his tweet.

He also talked to UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Petr Fiala, Prime Minister of the Czech Republic and spoke about Ukraine’s struggle against Russian aggression.
