My and Kumaraswamy PAs numbers were tapped: Siddaramaiah

New Delhi: Senior Congress leaders Tuesday launched a scathing attack against Union Home Minister Amit Shah and the Central Government for alleged snooping on and dismantling the Congress-JDS coalition government in Karnataka.

Ranjeet Surjewala said, The Modi government used Pegasus spyware to snoop on and dismantled the Congress-JDS Government in Karnataka. This is the murder of democracy. A thorough investigation must be ordered at the earliest. Home Minister Amit Shah must resign immediately".

Siddaramaiah said, " 17 Congress MLAs resigned at the instance of BJP and BS Yediyurappa. And Kumaraswany's government collapsed. Numbers of my assistant Venkatesh and Satish, who is Kumaraswamy's PA, were tapped.

"Snooping is a crime in democratic country," added Siddaramaiah.

Also, DK Shivakumar demanded judicial probe into the snooping by the BJP Govenment.

Congress leaders Ranjeet Surjewala, former Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah, KPCC President DK Shivakumar were present in the press meet.
