Rising star batsman Ishan Kishan was the Most Expensive Player on the fist day of the auction. He was sold for  Rs 15,25,00,000 to Mumbai Indians.

Bengaluru:  Liam Livingstone is the first player in Set 2 of the all-rounders sold out to Punjab Kings for Rs 11.50 crores on the second day of the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 auction in Bengaluru. 

Mandeep Singh and he is sold toDelhi Capitals  for Rs 1.10 Crore and Ajinkya Rahane is sold to Shah Rukh Khan's franchise Kolkata Knight Rider (KKR) for Rs 1 crore 

Cheteshwar Pujara, Eoin Morgan, Aaron Finch, Saurabh Tiwary went unsold on the second day.  

Rising star batsman Ishan Kishan was the Most Expensive Player on the fist day of the auction. He was sold for  Rs 15,25,00,000 to Mumbai Indians.  He was the highest run-scorer for the Mumbai Indians in the 2020 IPL, with 516 runs from 14 matches and won the most sixes award of the season.

Also, Harshal Patel (RCB), Wanindu Hasaranga (RCB) and Nicholas Pooran (SRH) were sold for Rs 10.75 crores each on the first day.

This will be the 15th season of the IPL and some of the biggest stars of world cricket will be coming together to light up the prestigious tournament.

Ten franchises, 600 players and 217 possible slots are up for grabs. The 10 IPL franchisees – Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders, Lucknow Super Giants, Mumbai Indians, Punjab Kings, Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Team Ahmedabad will also be bidding to have some of the biggest cricketing names.

Each of the eight franchises used the Player Retention option with Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Delhi Capitals (DC), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Mumbai Indians (MI) opting to retain 4 players each. Rajasthan Royals (RR), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have retained 3 players each while Punjab Kings (PBKS) have retained 2.

The PBKS thus have the highest salary purse available with INR 72 crore while Delhi Capitals have least at INR 47.50 to be used at the mega auction.
