BJP Minister, Congress MP face-off on stage in Ramnagar; CM Bommai turns mute spectator

Bengaluru: Congress and BJP leaders created ruckus on the stage in a function attended by Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai in Ramnagar on Monday.

Congress MP DK Suresh took serious objection for instigating speech by IT Minister CN Ashwath Narayan.  Angered by the speech, DK Suresh left his seat and rushed towards Ashwath Narayana. Leaders on the stage were mute spectators as both the leaders faced off on the stage.

According to reports, Ashwath Narayana challenged opposition leaders to prove 'masculanity' through development works in the constituency. 

DK Suresh's supporter, S Ravi who is Congress MLC,  snatched the podium microphone to stop Ashwath Narayana from continuing his speech. As tension escalated due to a war of words between the leaders and supporters, police intervened and diffused the tension.
