6.66 lakh students passed in second puc exams
Bengaluru: Karnataka government has announced the second PU results, passing of 6,66,497 lakh students after taking into their aggregate marks scored in SSLC and first PUC exams
Dakshina Kannada district has attained first place, and Bengaluru South taluk gets second place. In DK district, 445, and in Bengaluru South, 302 students scored 600-600. Bengaluru North gets third place, Udupi- 4th and Hassan obtained 5th place in the results.
Speaking to media persons here on Tuesday, Primary and Secondary Education minister Suresh Kumar said that taking into consideration of future of the students, results have been announced. Those who registered in the second puc get passed in the exams.
Out of 6,66,457 students, 3,35,138 boys and 3,31,359 girls have passed in the exams. In which 1,95,650 students have passed with distinctions. 4, 50,706 students passed in first class with distinctions. 1, 47,055 students passed in second class. The remaining 69,729 students passed in third class.
While declaring the second PU results, PU Board has considered 45 percent marks each in SSCLC and PUC exams and 10 percent internal assessment marks scored in second PUC marks. Marks will be sent to each student through SMS.
PU Board will allow the students to write exams if they have not satisfied with the results. Students who are willing to write exams have to register their names before July 30. Exams will be conducted between August 19 to September 3, 2021.

Due to the Covid pandemic, without conducting second PU exams, the results have been declared; this was the first of its kind since the inception of the Karnataka Secondary Education Board.
