Unidentified drones spotted near Kutch, residents told to stay indoors

Kutch: Security forces were on high alert in Gujarat’s Kutch district Saturday after three unidentified drones were spotted hovering near the international boundary for the second day in a row.The Border Security Force (BSF) and Indian Air Force stepped up surveillance and response measures as police sources confirmed drone remains were found in Bhuj’s Adipur area.Local residents and police sources said that drones were seen in the early hours of Saturday, which triggered the immediate deployment of ground and air units.
Although no damage or infiltration was reported, the district administration has asked the people to remain in their homes and not to panic.
“In light of the current situation, the district administration appeals to all residents of Kutch to stay indoors as a precautionary measure. There is no need for anyone to panic. Citizens are especially urged to remain alert at all times for their safety and security,” said a statement by the district administration.
A drone was found early Saturday in Kutch’s Adipur around 8.30 am. Eyewitnesses spotted it flying above the Sindhu Resettlement Corporation (SRC) in Adipur and followed it to the spot where it had landed.
