Silsila Alikhil, the daughter of Afghanistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan Najib Alikhil, was abducted on Friday and tortured by unknown assailants.

Afghanistan’s Vice President Amrullah Saleh said on Twitter, "The abduction of Afgh ambassador’s daughter & her subsequent torture has wounded the psyche of our nation. Our national psyche has been tortured".

However, Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed claimed that the daughter of the Afghan envoy to Pakistan was not abducted.
